Compositions
A series of monotypes on collage, which symbolise the dichotomy between life and pollution. The artworks are A4 size and the techniques used are monotype, in which the process consists of scratching on a flat metal surface inked with acrylic before printing, and collage, which is made with silk paper. In some cases dripping is used to fill empty spaces and to give another meaning to the drops, as a natural vision of pollution, like rain with drops.
The technique used was chosen because it is the technique that I will discover during the confinement and it is possible to work from home without a workshop. The monotype is therefore an explanation of how the technique depends also on the time we live in and the time we have access to and the time we don't. My presentation of our polluted life is influenced by the usual day that has been polluted until today.
